Matthew Tiede, MD graduated from the Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN and received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. He completed Residency trainings at Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners, an affiliate of Michigan State University. And subsequently returned to Wayne State University to complete his Fellowship in Interventional Radiology.
Following his Fellowship, Dr. Tiede joined the faculty at MEP Diagnostic for the next 8 years. Affiliated with Mercy Health Saint Mary’s Campus, Dr. Tiede is also a member of the American College of Phlebology and the Society of Interventional Radiology. DR. Tiede also served as faculty in the MSU Medical School Department of Radiology from 2009-20017.
Working for a hospital-based Interventional Radiology department for the past 8 years, Dr. Tiede has cared for many patients with simple and complex venous disease. He began to see how under-recognized and undiagnosed vein disease is and expanded his practice to treat the whole venous system.
“My background in deep vein disease as an Interventional Radiologist allows me to evaluate and treat underlying causes of venous insufficiency as well as the superficial veins causing the symptoms.” Dr. Tiede continues, “I am very excited to be part of CVR, to work with a great local team and some of the nation’s top experts in the vein world.”
