Home to both Dr. Anuj Shah and Dr. Thomas Militano, the Columbia Center for Vein Restoration is centrally located amid dozens of the amenities and attractions that make Columbia such a great place to live. It is a five-minute drive from the Robinson Nature Center, an eight-minute drive from the Historic Oakland Mansion, and a ten-minute drive from beautiful Lake Elkhorn Park
Located in the Howard County General Hospital complex at 11085 Little Patuxent Parkway, the Columbia offices of the Center for Vein Restoration make a positive contribution to the community by bringing relief to regional patients who are living with a venous disease. Dr. Anuj Shah and Dr. Thomas Militano each play a leading role at the Columbia Center for Vein Restoration team.
Located near Howard County General Hospital, our Columbia location is within easy reach of the city’s entire metro area. From the north, take Harper’s Farm Road and turn right onto Cedar Lane. Then, turn right onto Little Patuxent Parkway and our clinic will be on the right. From the Town Center area to the east, take Little Patuxent Parkway about 1.5 miles to our clinic on your left. From the south and west, take the Patuxent Freeway (MD Rt-32) to Exit 17 for Cedar Lane. Stay on Cedar Lane until you reach Little Patuxent Parkway. Turn right and our practice will be on the right.

Meet Dr. Militano
Thomas Militano, MD, FACS, RPVI obtained his doctor of medicine from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed postgraduate cardiothoracic surgical training at Tufts New England Medical and subsequently secured a PhD in biomedical engineering. Dr. Militano’s work with the Center for Vein Restoration builds upon three decades of experience in all facets of adult cardiac surgery. His significant career accomplishments include working on the Artificial Heart Program of the National Heart and Lung Institute in the 1970s, serving as Chairman of the Division of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Washington Adventist Hospital, and completing fellowships with the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, and the Society of Thoracic Surge
Meet Dr. Shah
A board-certified emergency physician, Anuj Shah, MD, FACEP, earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University and completed a clinical residency at Summa Health Systems and Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron, Ohio. He began using ultrasound technology to diagnose and treat patients while at Akron Children’s Hospital, and he currently builds upon more than 15 years experience with ultrasound-guided venous access through his position with the Center for Vein Restoration. Dr. Shah concurrently serves as an assistant clinical professor at the Georgetown University School of Medicine and an emergency department managing partner with Holy Cross Hospitals in both Silver Spring and Germantown, Maryland.
