CVR’s vein center in Portage is located in Kalamazoo County, the smaller of the two main cities included in the Kalamazoo-Portage metropolitan area. Because Portage shares a boundary with Kalamazoo, a city in southern Michigan, Dr. Ford, and her caring vein center staff welcome patients from both areas to treat vein conditions.

Considered one of the best places to live in Michigan, Portage offers residents a dense suburban feel and with plenty of things to do. For example, the Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Center is an aviation museum and indoor amusement park next to the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport in Portage.

Our vein center is located approximately 17 minutes from the village of Mattawan. From Mattawan, go northeast on Front Avenue toward S. Main St/County Hwy-652. Take the first right onto S. Main St/County Hwy-652. Continue following County Hwy-652. If you reach Morrill Street, you’ve gone a little too far.

Take the third left onto 60th Avenue (60th Avenue is 0.4 miles past Kinne Avenue). If you reach Oak Lane, you’ve gone about 0.6 miles too far. 60th Ave becomes Q Avenue. Q Avenue becomes W. Centre Avenue. Turn left onto Cooley Drive (Cooley Drive is just past Shirley Court. If you reach Greenspire Drive, you’ve gone a little too far).

Turn right onto Cooley Court (Cooley Court is 0.1 miles past W. Centre Avenue). If you reach Wimbledon Drive, you’ve gone a little too far. Cooley Court becomes an unnamed road. Turn right onto W. Centre Ave. If you are on Greenspire Drive and reach Stonebridge Court, you’ve gone about 0.1 miles too far. Our vein center is on your right.

Meet Dr. Ford

Adria L. Ford, DO, earned her medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. She completed an internship and residency at Metro Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before dedicating her career to treating chronic venous insufficiency. She is pleased to treat vein disease using minimally invasive outpatient procedures that allow her patients to resume normal activity immediately, with few restrictions.
