Board-Certified Vein Specialists

The vein physicians who lead each of the 100+ Center for Vein Restoration (CVR) clinic locations are board-certified experts in diagnosing and treating symptoms related to chronic venous insufficiency (vein disease). These specialists are highly trained and qualified in various primary fields of medicine, including vascular, cardiothoracic, and general surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, emergency medicine, and others.

All CVR physicians have achieved additional expertise and training in venous and lymphatic medicine, making them among an elite group of healthcare professionals qualified to provide state-of-the-art vascular care for the nation’s leading provider of vein care.

Types of Vein Conditions

There are two primary types of vein conditions—both of which are indicative of some level of underlying venous insufficiency. Spider veins are tangled groups of tiny blood vessels just under the skin’s surface that resemble spider webs, hence their name. Typically, they are red, blue or purple and are clearly visible on the thighs, lower legs and face. Varicose veins tend to be larger in diameter and are visibly bumpy or rope-like. Both types of vein conditions can produce physical symptoms—from leg pain and fatigue to itching, burning and nighttime restlessness. Only a comprehensive ultrasound scan can reveal what truly lies beneath your skin.
