Center for Vein Restoration (CVR) is proud to serve patients at our Salem, New Hampshire vein clinic. The physicians and staff at CVR Salem have decades of collective experience treating symptoms of vein diseases such as varicose veins, spider veins, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and other vein conditions related to chronic venous insufficiency (vein disease).
The board-certified physicians at Center for Vein Restoration are world-renowned vein specialists, authors, lecturers, and trainers on the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating vein disease. Commitment to patient care goes beyond physician credentials, however. Our entire team works together to provide our patients with a level of comfort and understanding.
Since 2005, our supervising vein physician, Dr. Normand Miller, and his staff have helped thousands of patients overcome the discomfort of venous insufficiency, also known as vein disease. They successfully treat varicose veins, spider veins, tiny superficial veins (telangiectasia), and the deeper blue veins (reticular veins) of the face and trunk as an outpatient in their Salem, New Hampshire, clinic location.
Like all CVR physicians, Dr. Miller shares his broad knowledge through published articles in respected medical journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of Vascular Surgery, and Phlebology, among many others.
We strive to provide the latest vein treatment so our patients can return to a great quality of life. Treatment options range from lifestyle changes that reduce the symptoms of varicose veins to minimally invasive surgical procedures that eliminate the damaged veins. These minimally invasive procedures are effective, approved by the FDA, and performed as an outpatient in a comfortable office setting under local anesthesia.

Normand Miller, MD, FACS, RPVI, RVT, is a board-certified vascular surgeon specializing in treating symptoms related to vascular disease, including leg pain, swelling, cramping, restless legs, ulcers, and other vascular disorders. He has performed over 6,000 procedures to treat varicose veins and spider veins as an outpatient under simple local anesthesia. He stays up-to-date in the field by working extensively with experts in diagnosing and treating vein disease and attending several conferences annually on vein and aesthetic topics to further his knowledge and medical expertise.
In addition to being a board-certified vascular surgeon, Dr.
Miller is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is certified by the
American Board of Laser Surgery. He serves as a member of the American Society
of Cosmetic Physicians, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery,
and the American Vein & Lymphatic Society (formerly the American College of
Phlebology).
Dr. Miller earned his medical degree at Laval University, Quebec City, Quebec. He completed his general surgery residency at McGill University (the most internationally diverse of any medical-doctoral research university in Canada) and vascular surgery fellowship at Englewood Hospital, Englewood, New Jersey.
Our board-certified vascular surgeon offers a wide range of innovative treatment options for leg pain, swelling, cramping, itching, varicose veins, spider veins, restless leg syndrome, ulcers, and other symptoms of vascular disease.
When the tiny valves in your leg veins fail to circulate blood back to the heart, it can be a sign of venous disease. The result can be:
Itching
Swelling
Varicose veins
Spider veins
Feelings of heaviness
These symptoms are often the result of venous insufficiency and are unlikely to heal on their own. This common vein condition is progressive and will likely worsen without treatment.
Vein care providers at vein treatment clinics use the most advanced minimally invasive treatments available today. CVR’s modern outpatient treatment plans are far superior to the older vein-stripping methods used in the past. For example, VenaSeal, a proprietary medical adhesive, safely closes off varicose veins.
At Center for Vein Restoration, we offer a wide variety of other treatment options, including:
Vein treatments take approximately an hour or less to complete, and patients can quickly return to their normal routine with few restrictions. No staples or stitches are required. Our outpatient vein treatments require only local anesthetics. Recovery and symptom relief are fast, and there is little to no scarring.
After many years of treating patients with vascular disease, in 2005, Dr. Miller opened the Aesthetic & Vein Center MD (AVCMD) in Salem, New Hampshire, dedicating his practice to the office-based diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins and spider veins and the expanding field of aesthetic medicine.
Dr. Miller is skilled in many aesthetic procedures, including skin lasers for treating facial veins. He has also helped his patients improve their appearance through Botox, dermal fillers, and body-shaping techniques, including liposuction and CoolSculpting®. He is committed to the highest safety standards and adopts the latest technology to help his patients look and feel their best.
Dr. Miller will give you his honest, professional opinion if he believes that a procedure will or will not achieve your desired goals. This is why so many patients trust them and why his loyal patients visit him for vein care and aesthetic treatment, time and time again.
