Joseph Jenkins, MD, FACS, DABVLM is the medical director of the Health Corp in Dubuque, Iowa. In 2011, he founded the Tri-State Vein Center, PC, an Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) accredited Vascular Testing and Vein Center. In 2019, he chose to partner his Dubuque-based vein practice with the Center for Vein Restoration.

More About Dr. Jenkins

Dr. Jenkins, a native of Dubuque, attended the University of Iowa, School of Medicine earning his MD in 1984. His first year of surgical training was completed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. For the next 3 years he was a general medical officer in Darmstadt, Germany. In 1988, he returned to the University of Iowa to complete a residency in general surgery. Dr. Jenkins spent the following year fulfilling his military obligation at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. In July 1994, he returned to Dubuque and practiced as a general surgeon with Dubuque Surgery, PC. until December 31, 2010.

On January 3, 2011, Dr. Jenkins opened the Tri-State Vein Center, PC, a practice dedicated to the treatment of patients with varicose veins and venous reflux. In 2017, Dr. Jenkins was certified as a Wound Specialist Physician by the American Board of Wound Management.

Dr. Jenkins genuinely strives to provide quality care for every patient he sees. To show his commitment, in 2013 he became a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (ABVLM). Diplomates of the board have passed the most comprehensive examination of knowledge in venous disease available today. This is strictly a voluntary program that requires ongoing educational requirements showing a physician’s continued knowledge of and commitment to venous and lymphatic medicine.

Today, Dr. Jenkins is a member of many prestigious medical societies, including the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, American Venous Forum, and Society for Vascular Ultrasound. He is also on the board of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society Foundation and sits on the faculty of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society.

Dr. Jenkins has served thousands of patients throughout his career, and is regarded as experienced, friendly, and professional. Patients leave his office feeling relieved and confident and say they would recommend the treatment to a friend.
