Dr. Vinay Madan is a board-certified vascular and interventional radiologist and vein specialist with almost three decades of experience in image-guided, minimally invasive care. Dr. Madan built Center for Varicose Veins, now part of Center for Vein Restoration with locations in Wilton and Fairfield, Connecticut, on advanced treatment expertise and caring, compassionate patient relationships.
"Vein disease is medical, not just cosmetic. Today it can be treated comfortably in the office with little to no downtime. If your legs ache, swell, or feel heavy, don't just live with it. Get them checked."
Dr. Madan trained in diagnostic radiology at North Shore–Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he served as chief resident, before completing his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology. He went on to lead interventional radiology programs in Pennsylvania and Connecticut, including a decade as chief of vascular and interventional radiology at Eastern Connecticut Health Network, where he also served as chairman of radiology.
Over time, his focus turned to venous disease, where his skill with image-guided procedures delivers relief patients can feel. He earned certification from the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine in 2015 and has performed thousands of minimally invasive vein procedures. In 2020, he opened Center for Varicose Veins, now part of CVR, caring for patients across Fairfield County and neighboring Westchester County, New York.
"For over 25 years, my approach has been simple — treat every patient the way I'd want my own family treated: honestly, compassionately, and with the least invasive option that gets the job done. When you refer a patient to me or trust me with your own care, that's the standard you can expect."
A member of Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa, he graduated magna cum laude from SUNY Stony Brook and cum laude at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Madan stays active on the squash court, a sport he played on his college varsity team, along with tennis, hiking, mountain biking, and downhill skiing. He is married with two children.
