More About Dr. Putterman

Dr. Paul S. Putterman is a 47-year resident of Charlotte. He's been married just as long (to the same person!) with whom he shares three children and nine grandchildren. His passion extends beyond medicine, with a thriving year-round garden that provides for his whole family. Dr. Putterman’s interest in vein care was sparked when it was still in its infancy, before the advanced techniques he regularly uses today. His expertise in sclerotherapy, developed before the advent of ablation therapy, has made him a skilled practitioner and expert in treating the tiniest of spider veins to the most prominent varicose veins. Committed to patient education, Dr. Putterman finds immense satisfaction in alleviating patient suffering and providing clear, understandable explanations about vein disease.

"Every patient I see is important to me. I listen to what they are feeling. I validate that their symptoms are real because other physicians have often ignored the patient when they say that their legs are swollen or ache. At the end of treatment, I want the patient to tell me that this is the best thing they ever did."
