Dedicated to improving the healthcare patient experience. Dr. Nancy L. Harthun is dedicated to patient outcomes using the best available medical knowledge and technology— all while staying at the forefront of vascular health research and teaching.
Dr. Harthun earned her undergraduate and medical degrees at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut.She completed a Master of Science degree in clinical research from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia. She trained in general and vascular surgery at the University of Virginia, obtaining board certification from the American Board of Surgery. She completed an endovascular fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Harthun is an experienced vascular surgeon and clinical researcher board-certified in both Vascular and General surgery by the American Board of Surgery, specializing in minimally invasive treatment to relieve symptoms related to chronic venous insufficiency. She is a distinguished Fellow of the Society of Vascular Surgery and a Visiting Professor of the Association of Women Surgeons. She earned her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CT, and a master’s degree in clinical research (magna cum laude) from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA.
