The Center for Vein Restoration offers two convenient locations in Columbia. Our branch at 1725 Devonshire Drive can be accessed from Middleburg Drive. Our second office is located within Columbia Dermatology at 1600 Lake Murray Boulevard, right off of Ridgemont Drive and Nursery Road.

At both locations, patients receive state-of-the-art vein care from a team of dedicated professionals. After an initial consultation, the staff thoroughly examines your varicose veins and spider veins and recommends treatment options. Today’s varicose vein therapies are minimally invasive, and range from sclerotherapy to laser or radiofrequency ablation. All procedures are performed in the office, require little to no anesthesia, and allow patients to return to daily activities within hours.

While recovery from vein surgery is brief, the staff at the Center for Vein Restoration in Columbia works with patients on a post-op plan to ensure excellent healing. The capital of the state, Columbia is the second-largest city in South Carolina. It’s home to the South Carolina State Museum, which features four floors of exhibits, a planetarium, and a 4D theater. In nearby Hopkins is the Congaree National Park, the largest old-growth bottomland hardwood forest in the Southeastern U.S. Flowing through the park are the Congaree and Wateree rivers.

Dr. Neal Reynolds, MD, FACS, has specialized in venous disorders since 2004, when he opened his own vein clinic. Last year, Dr. Reynolds partnered with the Center for Vein Restoration, where he combines diagnostic expertise and the latest treatment methods to manage the long-term vein health of his patients.

A noted general and vascular surgeon, Dr. Reynolds has improved the vein health of his patients for over 25 years — not only in private practice, but also as a member of Surgical Associates of South Carolina. In the early 2000s, he served as first Chief of Medical Staff and then Vice Chief of Staff at Providence Hospital.

Dr. Reynolds received his Bachelor of Science from Davidson College and his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in 1972. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham, and then served in the United States Army Medical Corps from 1977 through 1979.

His professional accomplishments include being certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of American Board of Phlebology and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Reynolds is an active member of the American Venous and Lymphatic Society (formerly known as the American College of Phlebology) and the South Carolina Surgical Society.

Dr. Reynolds’s goal is to ensure patients know all the treatment options available to them, and how each requires very little down time. “Many people suffer with varicose veins and spider veins for far too long — years, even decades — not realizing that they can put an end to the pain and unsightly appearance,” Dr. Reynolds says. “I am committed to helping my patients improve the look and feel of their legs using minimally invasive procedures, so they can enjoy a renewed quality of life that they may not have thought possible.”
