About the Center for Vein Restoration in Manassas

The Center for Vein Restoration in Manassas has been in operation for five years. During that time, our experienced and compassionate staff has treated all vein conditions, including varicose veins, spider veins, venous ulcers, and stasis dermatitis, among others disorders that cause leg pain and swelling.

The vein treatments our office offers, such as sclerotherapy, laser ablation, radiofrequency ablation, ambulatory phlebectomy, and VenaSeal, are all minimally invasive. These brief, in-office procedures allow our patients to return to work, school, and all their normal activities with virtually no downtime.

Located in the Historic District of Old Town Manassas, our office on Ashton Avenue is near the corner of Ashton Avenue and Sudley Manor Drive, not far from Lomond Drive. We’re across the street from Costco on the southbound side of Ashton Avenue, just past Lomond Drive.

Meet Dr. Nguyen

Heading up the medical staff at the Center for Vein Restoration in Manassas is Dr. Michelle Nguyen, MD, FACS, RPVI. A resident of the Washington, D.C. area for four decades, Dr. Nguyen has practiced medicine for more than 17 years.

After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, Dr. Nguyen continued at the same university for her medical degree. She completed her residency training at Georgetown University Medical Center, where she worked with experts in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. During this time, Dr. Nguyen became interested in the use of ultrasound to diagnose venous insufficiency and circulatory disorders. Active in the Georgetown medical community, Dr. Nguyen was named assistant clinical professor.

Dr. Nguyen is board certified in venous and lymphatic disease and has earned the Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) designation. She applies her deep knowledge to develop individual treatment plans for each patient using minimally invasive methods. Because of her dedication to patient care, Dr. Nguyen was named a Top Doctor in Washingtonian magazine.

“I enjoy the interaction with patients and having the time to fully discuss their disease process,” Dr. Nguyen says. “I take gratification in the ability to use my surgical skills to effect a dramatic change in patients’ everyday life.”

Dr. Nguyen has seen firsthand how current treatments in venous disorders can change her patients’ lives after having seen family members suffer from this often under-diagnosed disease. “The minimally invasive venous procedures increase people’s independence, allowing them to be active and thus improving their overall quality of life,” she says.
