Meet Dr. Morrison
Dr. Nick Morrison, MD, FACS, FACPh, has been a general surgeon in the Phoenix area for 42 years. At the Center for Vein Restoration in Mesa, he’s experienced in leading techniques for the elimination of varicose veins or spider veins, including visual sclerotherapy, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, ambulatory phlebectomy, and endovenous thermal and chemical ablation. To diagnose varicose veins, he uses state-of-the-art duplex scanning.
A graduate of Creighton University Medical School, Dr. Morrison completed his medical/surgical internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix and his general surgery residency at Maricopa County Hospital, also in Phoenix. In the final year of his residency, Dr. Morrison was named Chief Surgical Resident.
Dr. Morrison is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Arizona Medical Association, and the Maricopa County Medical Society.
A recognized expert in phlebology research, Dr. Morrison has written many published research articles and presented at hundreds of medical conferences. Always interested in innovative vein care, Dr. Morrison is currently exploring new treatments, including non-thermal and non-tumescent methods that use adhesives and implantable devices.
Dr. Morrison also dedicates his medical expertise as a volunteer. He and his wife, Terri, founded Amigos de Salud, which provides free medical and surgical treatment for people in Ecuador, Peru, and Nicaragua suffering from venous disease and ulcerations.
