The Center for Vein Restoration in Wood Dale is only 24 miles from Chicago. The office is an approximate 40-minute drive on I-290 East or I-90 East, making our location convenient for residents of the Chicagoland area.
The office is also near O’Hare International Airport and the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in nearby Rosemont, Illinois. Among Wood Dale’s local attractions is the Rainbow Waterpark, located a short distance from Wood Dale in Elk Grove, Illinois.
A nationally recognized cardiovascular surgeon, Dr. Dominic J. Tolitano joined the Center for Vein Restoration in 2018. His first priority is treating his patients’ vein health with expertise and compassion. He practices at the Center for Vein Restoration locations in northwest Indiana in Hobart and Munster as well as the Illinois branches in Wood Dale and South Loop. A native of Chicago, Dr. Tolitano currently serves as Senior Thoracic and Vascular Surgeon at Franciscan Physicians Hospital and Senior Vascular Surgeon at Mercy Hospital in Munster.
After graduating from Loyola University in Chicago, Dr. Tolitano received his medical training at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science. He served a fellowship in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at Loyola University Medical Center as well as a residency in general surgery at Michael Reese Hospital. For his work as Chief Resident and Chief Fellow at both medical institutions, Dr. Tolitano was awarded certification in cardiovascular and thoracic medicine.
Dr. Tolitano was one of the first vascular surgeons to use advanced non-invasive techniques to treat chronic venous disease. In practice for nearly 30 years, he has performed thousands of endovenous laser ablation procedures to treat varicose veins.
