There’s no need to wait to get your vein treatment started. CVR has virtual appointments available with our outstanding team of providers so you can get assessed and get relief now – all from the comfort of your home.

In these challenging times, it may seem easier to put off looking into leg swelling, pain, varicose veins, or other leg health issues until after the pandemic. But vein disease, also known as venous insufficiency, is a progressive disorder. What may begin as a cosmetic concern can progress, increasing your risk of blood clots, lymphedema, or venous ulcers. Not to mention, long periods of inactivity or sitting can make vein disease worse even faster.

We can now schedule you for a live video or phone appointment, called a Telemedicine Appointment, as a new or returning patient. Our team of providers is standing by, ready to connect with you in real time without you leaving the comfort of your home.

Tips for a Successful Visit

  • If you choose to do a video visit, take it in a well-lit, private room so our provider can see you.
  • Ensure you have a stable WIFI, data, or cellular signal to ensure call quality.
  • Take your appointment in a quiet, private space, so we can hear you and discuss personal medical information.
  • If you choose to do a video visit, wear shorts or loose-fitting pants. Our provider may ask to see your legs.
  • Before the visit, have a paper, pen, and a tape measure ready, as well as any questions you might have. That way you can take notes and we can teach you how to measure yourself for properly fitted compression stockings.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule a telemedicine visit with a Center for Vein Restoration Provider?

Call 240-965-3915 and a patient services representative will be able to schedule you appropriately.

If you cancel or miss a scheduled in-person appointment, we will follow up with you to see if a Telemedicine Appointment would be appropriate at this time.

When can I have my appointment?

We can schedule most Telemedicine Appointments same day. We have appointments available during business hours, but also on some nights and weekends for your convenience.

What services is CVR providing via telemedicine?

We can offer new patients a free 15-minute screening where our providers will assess your condition and make a recommendation on a course of action. We can also schedule new patients for a 45-minute full Telemedicine Appointment where co-pays will be waived on an as-needed basis.

For returning patients, providers can advise patients if they need to be seen immediately, prescribe compression stockings, complete a follow-up visit to review progress in treatment, or discuss any questions or concerns you may have about an upcoming or previous treatment.

How can I take my Telemedicine Appointment?

Our providers can chat with you on whatever app or platform makes you most comfortable. We can chat with you over the phone or connect with you by video from a variety of smartphone or tablet apps – including FaceTime, WhatsApp, or Zoom.

If I require treatment, will my Telemedicine Appointment provider be the person I see in-person?

Not necessarily. While we will try to match you up with a doctor in your area, your initial visit will likely be with the first available provider for a virtual visit. However, all our physicians are board-certified and trained in all modalities of treatment. Across our 90 nationwide locations, we have world-class providers who can assist you and stay in touch about your care.

Who do I call if I have issues with making my appointment, or technical difficulties with my call?

Our Patient Services will be able to assist you and route you to our IT Team if needed. Call 240-965-3915.

Is my Telemedicine Appointment secure?

We are able to provide this service through the Telehealth Services During Certain Periods Act of 2020, in which The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is temporarily waiving certain Medicare restrictions and requirements regarding telehealth services during the coronavirus public health emergency. While we are only using well-known and vetting video conferencing clients to connect with you, they are not HIPPA compliant at this time. As we continue to develop this offering, we will strive to provide platforms that are more secure.

Relief Available Now

While you may need to stay at home, your vein health does not have to wait. Many of our Telemedicine Appointments will also qualify you for a free pair of compression stockings, shipped directly to your door. Compression stockings can provide immediate relief to many symptoms of venous insufficiency, including leg pain, swelling, aching, and circulation issues.

Additionally, with many insurances requiring a 30-90 day trial in compression stockings before an appointment, this will ensure you are ready for treatment as soon as we can safely see you in our offices.

CVR is here and ready to get on your way to better vein health now.
