Anastasios C. Polimenakos, MD MBA FACS FACC, is a highly accomplished cardiothoracic surgeon with extensive experience in vascular interventions. Dr. Polimenakos has pursued comprehensive medical and non-medical education, completing his medical degree at the National University of Athens School of Medicine, Athens, Greece, where he ranked top ten in his class. He also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) for Physicians at the Heller School for Social Policy & Management, Brandeis University, Boston, MA. He completed fellowships in congenital heart surgery and thoracic surgery.
During his remarkable career, Dr. Polimenakos has held leadership roles at renowned medical centers and has been actively involved in clinical research, investigating topics such as preoperative adrenal response in congenital heart surgery, progenitor cell differentiation, and thromboembolic events in neonates.
In addition to his clinical and research endeavors, Dr. Polimenakos has made significant contributions to medical education. He has served on various academic boards and committees, mentored medical students and undergraduate scholars, and taught in medical school curricula.
