MD, FACS
Dr. Toshio Nagamoto is a board-certified general surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons with more than 35 years of experience in general, vascular, and robotic surgery, as well as trauma. He now dedicates his practice exclusively to the minimally invasive evaluation and treatment of venous disease.
"Treating vein disease means more than understanding the pathophysiology and performing the procedure. There is a whole person in front of you. I want to understand what they are experiencing, what is happening in their lives, and how it is affecting their health."
Dr. Nagamoto’s leadership background shapes how he approaches vein care: with rigor, with an eye toward the whole patient, and with the patience of a surgeon who has trained the next generation of physicians.
For complex cases involving venous wounds, lymphedema, or lipedema, Dr. Nagamoto coordinates across disciplines, considering not just the clinical findings but also the lifestyle factors and personal circumstances that affect each patient’s condition and recovery.
Whole-Patient Thinking: Dr. Nagamoto does not focus exclusively on pathophysiology or procedure. He takes time at every visit to understand what patients are experiencing, what is happening in their lives, and what factors may be worsening their condition.
Individualized Care: With vast experience across general surgery, trauma, vascular surgery, and robotic surgery, Dr. Nagamoto brings the judgment to tailor every care plan to the specific needs of the patient in front of him.
