Introducing Dr. Tanya Flohr: Bringing Expertise and Continuity in Vein Care

We are pleased to announce that Tanya Flohr, MD, a seasoned CVR physician and vascular surgeon, will now lead the Mechanicsburg vein clinic, continuing our tradition of excellent care.

Dr. Flohr is not new to CVR; she brings with her a strong record of success treating patients at another one of CVR’s more than 120 vein clinic locations nationwide. Mechanicsburg patients will benefit from her deep clinical expertise, compassionate care, and broad experience in vascular and endovascular surgery.

More About Dr. Flohr

A graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Flohr completed her General Surgery residency and Vascular and Endovascular Surgery fellowship at the University of Virginia Health System. Her impressive academic background also includes a Master’s degree in Physiology from Georgetown University and postgraduate studies in Biology and Immunology at the University of California, San Francisco. She is dual board-certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.

Before joining CVR, Dr. Flohr held the role of Associate Professor of Vascular Surgery at Penn State Health, where she was recognized for both clinical excellence and mentorship. Her awards include the Lion Care Award, James P. Fullin Memorial Award, and Department of Surgery Award for Excellence, reflecting her dedication to patient-centered care and clinical leadership.

Dr. Flohr’s Philosophy: Personalized, Evidence-Based Care

Dr. Flohr treats a full spectrum of vein conditions, from the cosmetic to the complex, including:

  • Varicose veins
  • Spider veins
  • Chronic venous insufficiency
  • Pelvic and proximal vein disease (disorders that impact the veins in the pelvic area and may also involve the thighs and legs)
  • Ulcers, swelling, and leg pain

Her advanced skills include outpatient vein procedures, including radiofrequency and laser ablation, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, and microstab phlebectomy. She also offers cosmetic vein treatments for patients who wish to improve the appearance of their legs.
