Dr. Nichols came to venous medicine through a path that is uniquely his own. As an emergency physician, he encountered the widespread reach of vein disease early in his career and was struck by a gap that was hard to ignore: millions of people living with leg pain, swelling, and fatigue simply because they didn't know that effective, minimally invasive treatment was available. That realization changed the direction of his career.
He spent decades becoming one of those answers, building deep expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease. Along the way, he founded a free medical clinic in Martinsville, Virginia, served as operational medical director for multiple regional organizations, and brought that same depth of care to every patient who walked through the door at CVR.
His patients tell the story best. Words like "personable," "efficient," and "made me feel completely at ease" appear again and again in their reviews. That kind of consistent trust reflects something that can't be taught.
"I like the combination of new minimally invasive technology we use and the smiles on my patients' faces when their legs and their lives are changed." -- Dr. Keith C. Nichols
We are deeply grateful for everything Dr. Nichols gave to Center for Vein Restoration and to the people of coastal Virginia. We wish him a warm and well-earned retirement.

Her path to venous medicine was shaped by the same driving force: recognizing how common and undertreated vein disease is and choosing to do something about it.
"Vein conditions are very common, but they are highly treatable. Early evaluation can make a big difference. When patients seek care, they can see a significant improvement in their quality of life." -- Dr. Madeleine Pfleger

Her approach is built on listening first and then on vein care that is genuinely individualized from the first appointment forward.
