At Center for Vein Restoration (CVR), we are committed to delivering expert care for vein conditions, from varicose veins and spider veins to more complex venous disorders, such as leg ulcers. We are excited to spotlight Tricia Croake, M.D. Tricia Croake, MD, who serves patients at Center for Vein Restoration's Pinehurst, North Carolina, vein clinic location.
Dr. Trisha Croake's medical journey began in Phoenix, Arizona, where she completed her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering. She continued her education at Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, and started her career in family medicine and sports medicine, where she practiced for six years before training in Interventional pain.
Dr. Croake's interest in helping patients live pain-free lives led her to specialize in interventional pain management and regenerative medicine, a field in which she has worked for over 18 years. According to Yale Medicine, interventional pain management focuses on diagnosing and treating chronic pain using minimally invasive methods. The goal is to reduce pain, improve function, and enhance the quality of life for patients with pain-related conditions.
During her time in interventional pain management, Dr. Croake was introduced to vein care and has since incorporated it into her practice.
Through her healthcare experience, Dr. Croake found a calling in treating venous disease, recognizing how much vein health impacts overall mobility and quality of life. A passionate advocate for holistic wellness, Dr. Croake has also trained in regenerative medicine and participated in medical mission trips in Honduras, Mexico, and Greece, further expanding her skills in treating vein conditions.
"I've always been passionate about staying active and helping others do the same. Vein care became a natural extension of my work in interventional pain and regenerative medicine. It's so satisfying to see patients regain their mobility and feel better after treatment." –Dr. Tricia Croake
Dr. Croake learned of Center for Vein Restoration (CVR) through her mission trips to Honduras, where she served with Lindy McHutchison, MD, the lead physician at CVR vein clinic locations in Pinehurst, North Carolina, and Durham, North Carolina. Through this relationship, Dr. Croake was introduced to CVR, and she was impressed by the organization's patient-centered approach.
The rest, as they said, is history.
"I've been on medical mission trips every year since 2012, and that's where I first learned about the prevalence of vein disease. Through these trips and my work with Dr. McHutchison, I realized how much I could help people by treating vein conditions. I love that CVR focuses on improving patients' lives rather than just focusing on the bottom line. The team here truly cares about the patients, and that's why I'm excited to be part of this practice." –Dr. Tricia Croake

When it comes to patient care, Dr. Croake believes that building a strong connection with her patients is just as important as her technical skills. She strives to understand her patients' individual concerns and work collaboratively to develop the best treatment plan for their needs.
"To me, the most important part of being a doctor is connecting with my patients. It's not just about performing procedures; it's about being there for people, listening to them, and working together to improve their quality of life. I want my patients to know that I genuinely have their back and am here to help them live healthier, happier lives." –Dr. Tricia Croake
In addition to her extensive experience in outpatient vein treatments, Dr. Croake is also trained in regenerative medicine. According to the Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research, "regenerative medicine goes beyond disease management to search for and discover therapies that support the body in repairing, regenerating and restoring itself to a state of well-being." Dr. Croake uses innovative therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow injections to help patients heal more effectively.
"Regenerative medicine is such a powerful tool for healing. By using PRP or bone marrow injections, we can help the body heal faster and more completely. Combining these therapies with vein care allows me to offer my patients comprehensive treatments that address both their pain and their overall wellness."–Dr. Tricia Croake
Dr. Tricia Croake brings a wealth of experience, a passion for helping others, and a commitment to improving her patients' lives through compassionate, personalized care. Whether you're dealing with varicose veins, spider veins, or more complex vein issues, Dr. Croake is ready to guide you toward better vein health and overall wellness.
