Center for Vein Restoration (CVR) is proud to welcome Rohit Reddy Martha, MD, a fellowship-trained vein specialist and internal medicine physician, to our vein clinics in Edison, New Jersey, and East Brunswick, New Jersey. As the lead physician at both locations, Dr. Martha brings advanced, minimally invasive vein care to patients across central New Jersey.
Dr. Martha's foundation in internal medicine shapes the way he approaches every patient. That training taught him to look past a single symptom and consider a person's full health picture before recommending any treatment. Paired with focused fellowship training in venous and lymphatic medicine, it gives him a thorough, evidence-based, and deeply personal style of care.
For people in Middlesex County and across Central New Jersey who have spent years living with leg heaviness, swelling, varicose veins, or aching they assumed was just part of getting older, Dr. Martha is ready to help.
"Every patient deserves to be heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment journey. I listen carefully, educate clearly, and treat compassionately, because that is how real results happen."

Dr. Martha's road to vein medicine began far from New Jersey. He grew up in India and earned his medical degree there before moving to the United States for residency. He completed his internal medicine training at St. Francis-Emory Healthcare in Columbus, Georgia, where he spent three years managing a wide range of patients in both hospital and outpatient settings.
When his residency ended, he moved to New Jersey for a fellowship in venous and lymphatic medicine. The timing worked out well for his family, since his wife is completing her own residency training in psychiatry in the state.
What drew him to vein care was the rare combination it offers. Few specialties let a physician build lasting patient relationships, perform hands-on procedures, and watch a person feel better almost right away.
"I was drawn to vein care because it combines procedural skill, real patient relationships, and an improvement in quality of life that patients can feel quickly. Helping someone walk comfortably again, return to work, and regain their confidence is genuinely rewarding."

Not every vein doctor is fellowship-trained, and Dr. Martha is quick to point out why that matters.
He completed his fellowship in venous and lymphatic medicine at Center for Vein Restoration, in its ABVLM-accredited program directed by renowned vein expert Dr. Peter J. Pappas. During that year, he trained under several experienced mentors, learned the full range of minimally invasive procedures, and developed his own approach by drawing on each of their techniques.
"I am one of only a handful of physicians who are fellowship-trained in venous and lymphatic medicine. That focused training is something I am proud of, and it is something patients and referring providers can trust."

That depth of training means patients in Edison and East Brunswick are seeing a specialist whose work centers exclusively on problem veins. Dr. Martha is also a member of the American Venous and Lymphatic Society and the American College of Physicians.

Ask Dr. Martha to sum up how he practices, and his answer is simple and consistent. He believes good vein care rests on three things: listening carefully, explaining clearly, and treating with compassion.
He starts every visit by understanding what the patient is actually experiencing and what they want to get back to. From there, he focuses on making the medicine make sense.
"I use relatable examples and visuals to simplify what is happening inside the veins. My goal is to help patients feel informed, not overwhelmed, so they can make confident decisions about their health."

If your legs feel heavy or swollen at the end of the day, a consultation with Dr. Martha can help you understand the cause and your treatment options.
Many people feel anxious before a first vein appointment, usually because they are unsure what to expect. Dr. Martha sees easing that worry as part of his job.
He takes time to walk each patient through the process in plain, reassuring terms before anything begins. Most people are surprised by how straightforward modern treatment is.
"I take time to explain everything in simple words and in a reassuring way. Most patients are surprised by how easy and comfortable these minimally invasive treatments are. Building trust and reducing anxiety is a big part of caring for patients."

Today's vein procedures are minimally invasive and performed as an outpatient in the clinic. Most involve little to no downtime, and patients can usually return to their normal day soon after.
For Dr. Martha, a good outcome is about more than what shows up on an ultrasound. It is about how a patient feels in their daily life.
"A successful outcome is more than good ultrasound results. It is when a patient tells me they can walk comfortably again, sleep better, feel more confident, or return to the activities they enjoy." — Dr. Rohit Reddy Martha
That focus on real-world relief is also what he finds most fulfilling about the work.
"I enjoy seeing the transformation patients experience, not just physically but emotionally. Many patients have lived with pain, swelling, heaviness, and skin changes for years, and it is fulfilling to help them finally feel relief." — Dr. Rohit Reddy Martha
Dr. Martha evaluates and treats a full range of venous and lymphatic conditions, including:
Many patients are surprised to learn that symptoms such as end-of-day heaviness, ongoing swelling, and restless legs at night are not simply the result of aging or long hours on their feet. They are often signs of treatable vein disease.
"Patients do not have to live with discomfort or ignore their vein symptoms. Vein disease is common, treatable, and often improves significantly with modern, minimally invasive therapies. Seeking evaluation early can truly improve quality of life."

"I value communication, collaboration, and continuity of care. My goal is to provide evidence-based, compassionate treatment while keeping strong relationships with referring physicians, so we get the best outcomes for our shared patients."

Outside of medicine, Dr. Martha is an avid traveler. He and his wife love exploring new cultures and cuisines together, and they have visited destinations across Europe, the Caribbean, and beyond, including the US Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Dubai, and Thailand. When it comes to food, Indian and Jamaican top his list, with jerk chicken a clear favorite.
He is also a lifelong badminton player who competed at the state level in India during high school, and he still makes time for the game most weeks. Above all, he enjoys spending time with his family.
He has settled into life in New Jersey and is glad to be building his practice close to home.

Q: What vein conditions does Dr. Martha treat, and do I need a referral?
A: Dr. Martha treats chronic venous insufficiency, varicose and spider veins, leg swelling and edema, venous ulcers, lymphedema, lipedema, restless legs, and nighttime cramping, among other venous and lymphatic conditions. You do not need a referral to schedule a consultation. If your condition meets medical necessity criteria, CVR's team can help guide you through the insurance process.
Q: I have had leg symptoms for years and figured it was just aging. Is it worth getting checked?
A: Yes, and the sooner the better. Vein disease tends to develop slowly, so many people simply adjust to feeling worse over time without realizing the cause is treatable. An evaluation can identify what is going on and outline clear options. Early care can also help prevent the condition from progressing.
Q: What should I expect at my first appointment with Dr. Martha?
A: Your first visit is a consultation, not a commitment to treatment. Dr. Martha will listen to your symptoms, review your health history, and perform a thorough evaluation that usually includes a diagnostic ultrasound to assess your blood flow and identify the root cause of your discomfort. Dr. Martha will explain everything in plain language and answer your questions, so you leave with a full understanding of your condition and your options.
