CVR partners with sonography and vascular technology programs to provide structured clinical rotations in a high-volume outpatient specialty setting. Before any student arrives, we meet with your program coordinator to understand your curriculum requirements and competency objectives.
Every student works alongside an RVT-certified sonographer who has passed the boards and knows how to prepare students for them. During clinical downtime, preceptors review board preparation materials and practice exams with students. For programs rotating at CVR locations in North Carolina and Maryland, supplemental arterial exposure is available through our partner, Center for Vascular Medicine.
CVR clinics operate at high volume with standardized protocols across all locations. Students step into a structured clinical environment from day one — not one that shifts from site to site or day to day.
Even if your program focuses on general diagnostic sonography, a CVR rotation gives your students something most programs can't: concentrated, real-world exposure to one of the most in-demand specialties in the field. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 13% growth in sonography jobs through 2034. For RVTs, demand is even higher. Your students won't just be entering a strong job market — they'll be entering the strongest corner of it.
High-performing students are strong candidates for CVR positions, including PRN or full-time roles, at 130 CVR vein clinics nationwide. For programs that track graduate employment outcomes, that's a direct line from your classroom to your graduates' careers.
Attendance is FREE for you and your students at this highly anticipated annual event for venous and lymphatic medicine professionals. CVR Pathways students are active participants in VISION and are eligible to earn up to 10 continuing medical education (CME) credits during the event, whether they attend in person or virtually.
For your students, this direct exposure to physicians and researchers is invaluable for advancing this specialty. Every session at VISION is designed to equip healthcare providers with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills they can apply in their practices. Whether learning about the latest minimally invasive treatments or exploring new diagnostic techniques, venous and lymphatic professionals attending VISION are better prepared to address their patients’ needs.
CVR will host VISION27 in Washington, D.C., from January 15–17, 2027.
