A Healthcare Administration practicum at CVR puts you inside a working specialty clinic before you ever apply for a job. The systems, workflows, and patient communication standards you learn here are exactly what employers are hiring for.
CVR is a physician-led organization with 130+ locations and more than 500,000 new patient interactions a year. That kind of volume does not just look good on a resume. It builds instincts you cannot get in a classroom.
Your day moves fast, but you're not watching from the doorway; you're part of the team.
Healthcare Administration is not one career path. It is several, and the field is growing fast. The Bureau of Labor Statistics* projects employment of medical and health services managers to grow 23% by 2034, nearly six times faster than the national average.
CVR's three-path model lets you build targeted, real-world experience from day one, aligned with where you want to go and the career that is waiting for you.
At CVR, you work directly with vascular physicians as part of the care team. You'll take health histories, review treatment plans, and be present in the procedure room during treatment. Aftercare is part of your day too, from compression stocking consultations and fittings to patient follow-up. That level of access shapes how you think about patient care and how you present yourself in an interview as a candidate who has done the work.

You will work inside the operational backbone of a physician-led specialty practice, gaining hands-on experience in scheduling, referrals, insurance processes, medical records, and care coordination. You will see firsthand how clinical and administrative teams work together to keep a high-volume practice running, and come away with a foundation that translates directly into healthcare operations, practice management, and leadership roles.

You will engage directly with patients through scheduling, outreach, follow-up, and care coordination, building the communication and problem-solving skills that patient-facing healthcare roles demand. CVR's Communications Center supports clinics across multiple states, giving you exposure to centralized operations and the technology workflows behind modern patient access and experience. Flexible hours and remote options make this path work around your life, not the other way around.
CVR offers practicum placements at multiple clinic locations. Virtual participants progress through the same core competencies, including scheduling, EHR navigation, and patient workflow, with guided instruction and module-based assessments.
However you train, in person or virtually, you leave with documented, system-specific experience that translates directly onto a resume—and in real life.
General administrative training gives you a foundation. Specialty practice experience gives you an edge. Employers at physician practices, surgery centers, and specialty groups want candidates who have worked in that environment, not just studied it.
With more than 11,400 Americans turning 65 every day, demand for vein care and the teams that support it is growing. At the largest physician-led vein specialty clinic, you will work with a focused patient population, complex insurance needs, and clinical workflows tightly integrated with front-office operations.
Students who complete their practicum with CVR leave with NextGen proficiency, verified clinical office competencies, and a professional reference from a physician-led healthcare organization operating across 23 states.
Students who perform well are real candidates for PRN and full-time CVR positions across our network. Most entry-level admin candidates spend their first months learning the systems. CVR Pathways alumni already know them.
