Medical Assistant Program

CVR partners with medical assistant and allied health programs to provide structured clinical placements in professional, specialty-focused outpatient environments. Before a student's first day, we review your program's curriculum objectives and build the rotation around them — ensuring every placement aligns with your educational requirements and gives students practical, real-world experience in a vein care clinical setting from day one.

Medical Assistant Students

Real Team. Real Work. Real Leg Up.

A CVR rotation puts you inside a modern specialty outpatient clinic from day one, working alongside physicians, nurses, and sonographers, doing the work that matters for your certification and your career.

What Your Rotation Looks Like

Your day moves fast, and you're not watching from the doorway; you're part of the team.

Other MA rotations place students alongside nurses or other staff. At CVR, you work directly with vascular physicians as part of the care team. You'll take health histories, review treatment plans, and be present in the procedure room during treatment. Aftercare is part of your day too, from compression stocking consultations and fittings to patient follow-up. That level of access shapes how you think about patient care and how you present yourself in an interview as a candidate who has done the work.

What Comes After Your Rotation

We'd rather develop someone we already trust than hire from scratch. Students who perform well are real candidates for CVR positions, both PRN and full-time. And if CVR isn't the right fit, you'll leave with current EMR experience, documented competencies, and a professional reference from a physician-led, multi-state healthcare organization.

Most students don't realize until later how much the name behind a reference matters.

The Patients You'll Serve

The patients who walk through our door aren't emergencies. They're people whose daily lives have been quietly diminished by a treatable condition, and for many of them, coming to CVR is an act of hope. Being on the team that meets them where they are is what keeps our people here.

The CVR Lifestyle

Four days a week. No rotating shifts. No on call. A modern outpatient setting that respects your time.

Curriculum Alignment Before Day One

MA programs carry specific, non-negotiable competency requirements — and we treat them that way. Every hour counts toward something your program requires, and nothing gets left to chance.

Clinical exposure includes patient intake and rooming, vital signs, EMR documentation, scheduling, procedural support, patient communication, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and sonographers.

A Stable, Consistent Placement Environment.

CVR clinics are not high-turnover environments. The staff is experienced, and the student experience is consistent. When you place a student with CVR, you know what they'll get.

An Employment Pipeline That Strengthens Your Outcomes.

VISION, The Premier Clinical Convention: Attendance is FREE for You and Your Students

At this highly anticipated annual event for venous and lymphatic medicine professionals. CVR Pathways students are active participants in VISION and are eligible to earn up to 10 continuing medical education (CME) credits during the event, whether they attend in person or virtually.

For your students, this direct exposure to physicians and researchers is invaluable for advancing this specialty. Every session at VISION is designed to equip healthcare providers with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills they can apply in their practices.  Whether learning about the latest minimally invasive treatments or exploring new diagnostic techniques, venous and lymphatic professionals attending VISION are better prepared to address their patients’ needs.

CVR will host VISION27 in Washington, D.C., from January 15–17, 2027.
