Center for Vein Restoration in King of Prussia

For nearly three decades, the staff at the Center for Vein Restoration in King of Prussia have treated patients for varicose veins and spider veins, two common conditions that indicate underlying venous insufficiency, a malfunction in the vascular system.

Spider veins appear close to the skin’s surface as tangled webs of red, blue, or purple veins. They are smaller than varicose veins, which emerge as bulging, painful twists of veins. Spider veins and varicose veins produce symptoms, including swelling, itching, and leg fatigue.

When you come to our office, you will receive a comprehensive ultrasound scan to diagnose your condition. If you require treatment, we offer several non-invasive surgical procedures to eliminate your spider veins and varicose veins. We’re experts in sclerotherapy, laser and radiofrequency ablation, and ambulatory phlebectomy. The procedures are quick and minimally invasive, and patients return to their normal activities within hours.

Our office is conveniently located on N. Henderson Road, which can be accessed by E. DeKalb Pike. The King of Prussia branch of the Center for Vein Restoration is one of four locations in the Philadelphia area, along with Horsham, Wayne, and Bensalem.

Meet Dr. Shah

After 28 years in private practice in the Philadelphia area as medical director of the Vascular Medicine Center, Dr. Mehul Shah, MD, FSVM, joined the Center for Vein Restoration in King of Prussia last year. Dr. Shah has performed thousands of venous ablation surgeries during his career.

Dr. Shah is dual board certified in Internal and Vascular Medicine. He completed his medical degree at Baroda Medical College in Baroda, India, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Harrisburg Hospital and Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He was fellowship trained at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital and Foundation and is a fellow of the Society for Vascular Medicine.

Dr. Shah says he chose to specialize in venous insufficiency because of the difference he can make in his patients’ lives. “The most rewarding part is when I get to see patients get confidently back on their feet and look as good as they feel,” Dr. Shah says. ”It’s gratifying for me to see a big difference in patients’ lives after a successful treatment.”

In addition to treating varicose veins and spider veins, Dr. Shah is an expert in phlebology, vascular surgery, and venous insufficiency. Last year, his accomplishments were profiled in Suburban Life Magazine.
