Just 27 miles from Chicago, the Center for Vein Restoration in Munster is adjacent to many local attractions, including Centennial Park. A nationally recognized cardiovascular surgeon, Dr. Dominic J. Tolitano joined the Center for Vein Restoration in 2018. His first priority is treating his patients’ vein health with expertise and compassion. He practices at the Center for Vein Restoration locations in northwest Indiana in Hobart and Munster as well as the Illinois branches in Wood Dale and South Loop. A native of Chicago, Dr. Tolitano currently serves as Senior Thoracic and Vascular Surgeon at Franciscan Physicians Hospital and Senior Vascular Surgeon at Mercy Hospital in Munster.

After graduating from Loyola University in Chicago, Dr. Tolitano received his medical training at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science. He served a fellowship in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at Loyola University Medical Center as well as a residency in general surgery at Michael Reese Hospital. For his work as Chief Resident and Chief Fellow at both medical institutions, Dr. Tolitano was awarded certification in cardiovascular and thoracic medicine.

Dr. Tolitano was one of the first vascular surgeons to use advanced non-invasive techniques to treat chronic venous disease. In practice for nearly 30 years, he has performed thousands of endovenous laser ablation procedures to treat varicose veins.
