Victor A. Medina, MD, FACS, DABS, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in vascular surgery with over 30 years of experience treating venous disease. Renowned for his integration of advanced, minimally invasive techniques with a patient-centered approach, Dr. Medina offers effective solutions for conditions such as varicose veins, spider veins, leg pain, and other venous complications, ensuring patients receive timely intervention before these conditions progress and cause further complications.
As the founder of Triangle Vein Clinic, the first specialized center for venous care in the Triangle area, Dr. Medina is committed to providing comprehensive care for individuals dealing with venous issues. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, a Master of Science in Biochemistry, and a Doctor of Medicine degree, all from the University of Nebraska. Dr. Medina further honed his surgical expertise during his general surgery residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital in Connecticut. He completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at St. Vincent Medical Center in Ohio, and he is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery.
A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Southeastern Surgical Congress, Dr. Medina’s clinical philosophy emphasizes patient education, early intervention, and the importance of addressing venous disease as a serious medical condition—one that impacts both health and quality of life, rather than merely a cosmetic concern.
