Center for Vein Restoration (CVR) is proud to serve patients at our Canton vein clinic. The physicians and staff CVR Canton have decades of collective experience treating symptoms of vein diseases such as varicose veins, spider veins, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and other vein conditions related to chronic venous insufficiency (vein disease).
The board-certified physicians at Center for Vein Restoration are world-renowned vein specialists, authors, lecturers, and trainers on the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating vein disease. Commitment to patient care goes beyond physician credentials, however. Our entire team works together to provide our patients with a level of comfort and understanding.
Aslan Amirian, MD, is a fellowship-trained vein specialist and internal medicine physician who cares for patients with venous and lymphatic conditions. He focuses on minimally invasive treatment of chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, spider veins, and leg swelling (edema), with careful attention to identifying the underlying cause of each patient’s symptoms.
Dr. Amirian completed his fellowship in Venous and Lymphatic Medicine at Center for Vein Restoration in Greenbelt, Maryland, and his residency in Internal Medicine at UPMC Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He earned his medical degree from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran. His background in internal medicine informs a broader view of how vein disease affects overall health.
He prioritizes thorough evaluation and clear, practical communication so patients understand both their condition and treatment options. By aligning care with each patient’s symptoms and goals, Dr. Amirian aims to provide effective treatment that leads to meaningful, lasting improvement.
Canton, Georgia, offers a mix of history, culture, and entertainment, all within a short drive of our Oakside Drive vein center. It’s easy to spend a day here, whether that means starting with a bit of local history, getting outside for some fresh air, or ending the afternoon with something fun and low-key. If you’re visiting our Canton vein clinic, these nearby spots give you a simple way to spend time in the area without going far out of your way.
Getting a feel for Canton often starts with its history. Right in downtown Canton, the Cherokee County History Center offers a closer look at how the area has grown over time. As you move through the exhibits, you’ll come across stories of early settlers, Cherokee heritage, and everyday life from different points in the county’s past. It’s easy to take your time and relax here.
A few minutes away, the Historic Rock Barn offers a quieter, tucked-away option. The hand-laid stone structure was built in the 1800s to stand out against the surrounding greenery, and today feels almost unchanged by time. It’s the kind of place people stop for a quick photo and end up lingering a bit longer than expected.
In the center of downtown, the Canton Theatre draws a steady crowd for performances and events year-round. Some nights it’s live music, other times it’s a film or a local production, but the setting always feels close and personal. Even if you’ve never been before, it doesn’t take long to feel like part of the audience.
Just down the road, Etowah River Park offers a different kind of gathering place. Walking paths follow along the river, and on weekends, you’ll often see families, small groups, or community events spread across the open space. If you happen to visit when nothing special is scheduled, it’s still a quiet, easy place to take a walk and reset for a bit.
Once you’ve taken in some of the slower moments around town, there are plenty of ways to keep the day going. Continue your Canton journey at Cherokee Lanes, one of those places that feels immediately familiar. You can bowl a few games, spend some time in the arcade, or just enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. What starts as a quick stop often turns into a longer visit, especially if you’re with friends or family.
Outdoor enthusiasts are sure to love Blankets Creek, which provides miles of wooded trails to explore. The routes range from easy, beginner-friendly paths to more technical terrain, so you can choose what fits your pace. Even without a bike, the tree-lined trails make it a good spot to step away from the noise and get some fresh air.
Boling Park brings a little bit of everything together in one place. Depending on when you visit, you might catch a local game, see kids on the playground, or find people walking the paths that loop through the park. It’s an easy stop that gives you a real sense of the day-to-day rhythm of Canton.
There’s a lot to like about Canton, whether you’re walking through downtown, stopping by a park, or just looking for something simple to do nearby. It’s an easy place to spend a little extra time before or after your vein care appointment.

Our board-certified vascular physicians provide numerous state-of-the-art treatment options for leg pain, cramping, swelling, itching, spider veins, varicose veins, restless legs syndrome, and other symptoms of venous disease.
Venous disease occurs when the tiny valves in your leg veins fail to circulate blood back to the heart efficiently. This can result in:
These uncomfortable symptoms are often the result of venous insufficiency and are unlikely to heal on their own. This common vein condition is progressive and will worsen without treatment.
Vein care providers at vein treatment clinics use the most advanced minimally invasive treatments available today. CVR’s modern outpatient treatment plans are far superior to the older vein-stripping methods used in the past.
Treatments include VenaSeal, a proprietary medical adhesive that safely closes off varicose veins, and ClariVein, a two-in-one approach that uses an ablation device to inject a sclerosing agent that closes the vein with a tiny rotating wire tip, which destroys the diseased vein.
At Center for Vein Restoration, we offer a wide variety of other treatment options, including:
Vein treatments take approximately an hour or less to complete, and patients can return to their normal routine immediately with few restrictions. No staples or stitches are required because a simple band-aid covers the tiny incisions. Our in-office treatment requires only local anesthetics and recovery and symptom relief are fast, and there is little to no scarring.
