About 24 miles from our Ashburn / Leesburg vein clinic is the National Sporting Library & Museum
(NSLM). Founded in 1954 by George L. Ohrstrom, Sr., Alexander Mackay-Smith, Lester Karow, and Fletcher Harper, the library was originally located in Middleburg's historic Duffy House on W. Washington Street before a major expansion project brought it to a newly built structure in the late 1990s.
The NSLM is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and sharing the literature, art, and culture of horseback riding, angling, shooting, steeple chasing, flat racing, fox hunting, polo, and other field athletics. It showcases six pristine acres of American and European animal and sporting art exhibits.
Equestrian enthusiasts will also enjoy a trip to Morven Park, just 10 miles from our Ashburn / Leesburg vein clinic. Home to the world-renowned Morven Park International Equestrian Center, the historic 1,000-acre estate is owned by the Westmoreland Davis Memorial Foundation, which opened it to the public in 1967. The prestigious equestrian center offers facility rentals and hosts all types of performances, such as hunter/jumper shows, dressage competitions, and carriage driving events. Guests can marvel at various levels of talent, from beginners to some of the best equestrians in the world.
Morven Park is described as the “Central Park” of Loudoun County, and fittingly so — its pristine landscaping, Greek Revival mansion, boxwood gardens, and wealth of hiking opportunities attract a quarter-million visitors to the grounds each year. Guests can roam Turkey Hill Farm and take a self-guided tour of its four-bedroom 1930 Farm Hand House to learn about old-fashioned agricultural practices.
The space also boasts the Morven Park Center for Civic Impact, a 2014 youth educational initiative that provides free, authentic learning experiences to foster a new generation of community engagement.
Don’t end your visit to Morven Park without taking a guided tour through the iconic Davis Mansion, where guests can hear tales about the lives of former Virginia Governor Westmoreland Davis and his wife, Marguerite while browsing the impressive body of antiques meticulously placed throughout the home’s entry hall, drawing room, dining area, billiard room, library, kitchen, and personal quarters.
History and greenery continue to merge at Oatlands Historic House and Gardens, about 12 miles from our Ashburn / Leesburg vein clinic. A National Trust Historic Site, Oatlands is famed for its mansion and its perfectly manicured gardens, both of which have a storied past. Now, guests can buy tickets to explore the 4.5 acres of gardens, reserve a guided tour, freely roam its eight miles of trails, browse the gift shop for a handcrafted souvenir, or schedule a scenic photography session.

Our board-certified vascular surgeons offer a wide range of innovative treatment options for leg pain, swelling, cramping, itching, varicose veins, spider veins, restless leg syndrome, ulcers, and other symptoms of vascular disease.
When the tiny valves in your leg veins fail to circulate blood back to the heart, it can be a sign of venous disease. The result can be:
Itching
Swelling
Varicose veins
Spider veins
Feelings of heaviness
These symptoms are often the result of venous insufficiency and are unlikely to heal on their own. This common vein condition is progressive and will likely worsen without treatment.
Vein care providers at vein treatment clinics use the most advanced minimally invasive treatments available today. CVR’s modern outpatient treatment plans are far superior to the older vein-stripping methods used in the past.
Treatments include VenaSeal, a proprietary medical adhesive that safely closes off varicose veins, and ClariVein, a two-in-one approach that uses an ablation device to inject a sclerosing agent that closes the vein with a tiny rotating wire tip, which destroys the diseased vein.
At Center for Vein Restoration, we offer a wide variety of other treatment options, including:
Vein treatments take approximately an hour or less to complete, and patients can return to their normal routine immediately with few restrictions. No staples or stitches are required because a simple band-aid covers the tiny incisions. Our outpatient vein treatments require only local anesthetics. Recovery and symptom relief are fast, and there is little to no scarring.
