Center for Vein Restoration (CVR) is proud to serve patients at our Waterbury clinic. The expert physicians and staff members at CVR Waterbury have decades of combined experience treating symptoms of vein conditions such as varicose veins, spider veins, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and other disorders related to chronic venous insufficiency (vein disease).
CVR's caring and compassionate physicians are world-renowned vein specialists, trainers, authors, and lecturers on the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating vein disease. However, our commitment to patient care extends far beyond physician credentials. Our entire team works together to provide our patients with a level of comfort and understanding.

Waterbury, Connecticut, is located on the Naugatuck River in the New York Metropolitan Area. Also known as the Tri-State area, Waterbury is a part of the largest urban area in the world, situated less than 80 miles northeast of New York City. Nicknamed the Brass City due to its former connection to the American brass industry, Waterbury celebrates its 350th anniversary in 2024.
Visitors to Waterbury will not want to miss the Mattatuck Museum. Located just two miles from our Waterbury vein clinic, its special exhibits and collections tell the story of the Waterbury community, past, present, and future. The museum began as a historical society in 1877 before opening its first display hall in 1912. It has been showcasing cultural pieces that highlight local artists and the history of the Naugatuck Valley ever since — its button gallery, for example, displays 10,000 miniature works of art gathered from all over the world and donated to the museum by the former Waterbury Button Company.
You can do some shopping at Brass Mill Center, less than three miles from our Waterbury vein clinic. With dozens of big-name retailers and restaurants, the mall is considered the city’s one-stop destination for fun and entertainment.
Unwind and explore the great outdoors at Mattatuck State Forest. About nine miles from our Waterbury vein clinic, the iconic space spans 4,510 acres and includes portions of Plymouth, Thomaston, Watertown, Litchfield, and Harwinton. Steeped in history, the forest reveals evidence of the region’s industrial past, including remnants of quarries, house foundations, lime kilns, charcoal mounds, and agricultural fields.
Waterbury Green, meanwhile, is nestled in the heart of downtown, less than two miles from our vein clinic. The pristine park features a network of meandering walking paths, a beautiful bronze fountain called the Welton, monuments dedicated to veterans and soldiers, the famed Waterbury clock designed by Paul Lux in 1915, and plenty of greenery.
Furthering the arts in Waterbury, the historic Palace Theater brings Broadway-quality shows to the local community. Less than two miles from our Waterbury vein clinic, the theater serves as an award-winning wedding venue and event space, as well.
Those interested in a unique experience that blends religion and entertainment are sure to enjoy a trip to Holy Land USA, a religious theme park with attractions inspired by Bible passages. Our board-certified vascular surgeons offer a wide range of innovative treatment options for leg pain, swelling, cramping, itching, varicose veins, spider veins, restless leg syndrome, ulcers, and other symptoms of vascular disease.
Venous disease occurs when the tiny valves in your leg veins fail to circulate blood back to the heart efficiently. This can result in:
These uncomfortable symptoms are often the result of venous insufficiency and are unlikely to heal on their own. This common vein condition is progressive and will worsen without treatment.
Vascular care providers at vein treatment centers use cutting-edge minimally invasive treatments available. CVR’s modern outpatient care plans are highly superior to the vein-stripping methods used in the past.
Our vein treatments include VenaSeal, a proprietary medical adhesive that safely closes off varicose veins, and ClariVein, a two-in-one approach that uses an ablation device to inject a sclerosing solution that closes the vein with a tiny rotating wire tip and destroys the diseased vein.
CVR also offers a wide variety of other treatment options, including:
Vein treatments take about an hour or less to complete, allowing patients to return to their normal routine immediately with few restrictions. No staples or stitches are needed because a simple band-aid covers the tiny incisions. Our outpatient treatments require only local anesthetics. Recovery and symptom relief are fast, with little to no scarring.
