Center for Vein Restoration (CVR) is thrilled to welcome VEINatlanta, Atlanta, Georgia’s choice for quality vein care over the past 11 years. This partnership adds to CVR’s growing list of locations and specialists that offer advanced technology to diagnose and treat vein disease and chronic venous insufficiency.
While VEINatlanta has become part of Center for Vein Restoration, the beloved and experienced staff remains the same, offering courteous, kind, professional assistance to patients. The focused attention of our physicians Dr. Louis Prevosti, Dr. James Fonger, and Dr. Keith Moore, remains the same as well.
Meet the Vein Doctors
Providing expert vein care at three metro-area locations, these trusted Atlanta-area cardiovascular surgeons treat varicose veins, tired, achy legs, spider veins, swelling in the lower legs and ankles, restless legs, ulcers, and skin conditions such as dry, itchy, leathery and darkened appearance. These leg problems can be caused by venous insufficiency, also called venous reflux, a common venous disorder affecting 40 million Americans.
Louis Prevosti, MD, FACS, is board-certified in cardiothoracic surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He trained at New York Presbyterian Hospital in general surgery, then specializing in cardiothoracic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Prevosti also did a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in cardiology. He practiced cardiothoracic surgery in Atlanta for 20 years. For the past ten years, he has dedicated his career to the outpatient treatment of venous disease.
James Fonger, MD, FRCS, is board-certified in general surgery and cardiovascular surgery and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He received general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery training at Johns Hopkins University, after which he completed a fellowship in artificial heart research at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Fonger was a founder of the International Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery. In addition to treating venous disease, he is an inventor and consultant in the medical device field.
Keith Moore, MD, is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, a member of the American Venous and Lymphatic Society, the Surgical Laparoscopic Society, and the National Medical Association. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and did research in the field of microvascular surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, NY. Prior to dedicating himself full time to the diagnosis and treatment of venous and lymphatic disorders, Dr. Moore practiced general surgery for 20 years.

Our history
VEINatlanta was founded in Atlanta in 2011 by Dr. Louis Prevosti, with Dr. Fonger joining in 2015, and Dr. Moore in 2016. VEINatlanta, now part of CVR, continues its commitment to serving the community as a specialty clinic focused on the minimally invasive treatment of vein disorders and related leg problems. All diagnostic ultrasound examinations and vein treatment procedures are done in the office and require little to no downtime.

Our Atlanta-area CVR clinics have national certification from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). IAC is dedicated to ensuring quality patient care by providing accreditation programs for vascular testing, and vein treatment and management clinics, among other programs. Because this accreditation is renewed every three years, patients can be assured that these CVR locations have a long-term commitment to the highest standards for patient care, ongoing self-assessment, and accountability.
