Mike Sebastian, MD, DABFM, DABVLM, earned his medical degree at the University of East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in Metro Manila, Philippines. He completed his medical residency training at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana. During his medical residency, Dr. Sebastian saw firsthand that vein diseases are both under-recognized and under-treated, inspiring him to specialize in the treatment of venous insufficiency. As a vascular surgeon, Dr. Sebastian specializes in the treatment of symptoms stemming from chronic venous insufficiency, including varicose veins, spider veins, restless legs, deep vein thrombosis, ulcers, and more.
Dr. Sebastian is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is now the lead vein doctor at Center for Vein Restoration’s Evansville, Indiana, and Owensboro, Kentucky, vein clinic locations. Dr. Sebastian is also an active member of the American Academy of Family Practice (AAFP) and the American Vein & Lymphatic Society (formally the American College of Phlebology).

Smothers Park holds another piece of Owensboro history. Less than three miles from our vein clinic is its Lazy Dayz Playground, which was named the top playground in the world by Landscape Architect’s Network in 2015. These symptoms are often the result of venous insufficiency and are unlikely to heal on their own. This common vein condition is progressive and will worsen without treatment.
Vein care providers at vein treatment clinics use the most advanced minimally invasive treatments available today. CVR’s modern outpatient treatment plans are far superior to the older vein-stripping methods used in the past.
Treatments include VenaSeal, a proprietary medical adhesive that safely closes off varicose veins, and ClariVein, a two-in-one approach that uses an ablation device to inject a sclerosing agent that closes the vein with a tiny rotating wire tip, which destroys the diseased vein.

Vein treatments take approximately an hour or less to complete, and patients can return to their normal routine immediately with few restrictions. No staples or stitches are required because a simple band-aid covers the tiny incisions. Our outpatient vein treatments require only local anesthetics.
