Meet Dr. Sebastian
Doctor Mike Sebastian, MD, is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and practices at Center for Vein Restoration’s Evansville, Indiana and Owensboro, Kentucky locations. A specialist in vascular surgery, spider and varicose veins, phlebology, and venous insufficiency, Dr. Sebastian provides his patients with high-quality vein care. Dr. Sebastian is also an active member of the American Academy of Family Practice (AAFP) and the American College of Phlebology (ACP).
A graduate of the University of East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in Metro Manila, Philippines, Dr. Sebastian completed his medical residency training in Evansville, Indiana, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. During his medical residency, Dr. Sebastian saw many patients with symptomatic varicose vein disease or chronic venous insufficiency.
Over 30 million Americans suffer from venous disease, yet only around 10 percent seek treatment. Understanding how venous insufficiency affected his patient's quality of life and overall well-being, Dr. Sebastian dedicated himself to treating patients with vein disease. He saw firsthand that vein diseases are both under-recognized and under-treated.
Today, Dr. Sebastian helps patients suffering from venous insufficiency achieve a higher quality of life. Dr. Sebastian also thoughtfully explains potential factors affecting a patient’s venous disease to diagnose and help them manage their problems.
“The most rewarding aspect of my career in the field of venous insufficiency is the patients’ expressed satisfaction from the improvement of their symptoms from venous insufficiency and quality of life in the relatively short period of time with my help, using minimally invasive procedures, as a part of definitive treatment options for venous insufficiency,” Dr. Sebastian says.
