We had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Miller about her education, career, and what inspired her to specialize in vein care.
Dr. Bria Miller: “When I treated wounds, I saw a huge correlation with venous ulcers, which were a large part of my patient population. I would send many of my patients out for arterial and venous evaluations. I thought to myself, if I could treat my patients from both aspects (the wound and the root cause of the wound, that is, venous insufficiency), that would be great for my patients.”
Dr. Bria Miller: “Being family medicine trained, I believe that a patient should be treated holistically. That we should look at the entire patient, and not just their venous issues. Are they exercising enough? Are they taking their medications properly? What is their nutrition like?
