Zoe Deol, MD, FACS, DABVLM, is board certified in General Surgery and by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Michigan State University and completed a General Surgery internship at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
Dr. Deol went on to complete a six-year General Surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. She then sub-specialized in laparoscopic bariatric surgery by completing a fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, dedicating her career to designing a multi-disciplinary surgical practice for evaluating and treating all aspects of obesity. She observed that once her bariatric surgery patients lost weight, they sought to treat subsequent varicose veins, leg heaviness, and fatigue, hindering their ability to exercise and maintain weight loss. With this, her attention turned to treatment options to eliminate vein conditions.
Dr. Deol has become an integral part of the academic venous world and was invited to serve as a representative of the United States on the International Committee of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society (AVLS). She has accepted invitations from other prestigious national organizations, such as the American Venous Forum (AVF).
She is also a member of the American Medical Society (AMA), the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (ASMBS), the American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA), and the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS).
Most recently, Dr. Deol conducted a case study on Varithena and how the treatment can resolve activity-limiting symptoms after profound weight loss.
Bria Miller, MD, CWSP, earned her medical degree from Saint James School of Medicine, The Quarter, Anguilla. Board-certified in Family Medicine, she specialized in wound care, during which time she witnessed the correlation between venous ulcers and their root cause: vein disease. That's when she pursued and completed fellowship training at the prestigious Venous and Lymphatic Medicine Fellowship Program through Center for Vein Restoration. Center for Vein Restoration was granted this 12-month program by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. It is designed to offer comprehensive training in diagnosing and managing chronic venous disorders.
Trained in family medicine, Dr. Miller believes that the patient should be treated holistically and that physicians should look at the entire person. She chose to specialize in vein care after observing a significant correlation between venous ulcers, chronic wounds, and vein disease, aiming to address both the root cause and the symptoms of vein disease.
Our board-certified vascular surgeons offer a wide range of innovative treatment options for leg pain, swelling, cramping, itching, varicose veins, spider veins, restless leg syndrome, ulcers, and other symptoms of vascular disease.
When the tiny valves in your leg veins fail to circulate blood back to the heart it can be a sign of venous disease.
The result can be:
Itching
Swelling
Varicose veins
Spider veins
Feelings of heaviness
These symptoms are often the result of venous insufficiency and are unlikely to heal on their own. This common vein condition is progressive, meaning it will get worse without treatment.
Vein care providers at vein treatment clinics use the most advanced minimally invasive treatments available today. CVR’s modern outpatient treatment plans are far superior to the older vein-stripping methods used in the past.
Treatments include VenaSeal, a proprietary medical adhesive that safely closes off varicose veins, and ClariVein, a two-in-one approach that uses an ablation device to inject a sclerosing agent that closes the vein with a tiny rotating wire tip, which destroys the diseased vein.
At Center for Vein Restoration we offer a wide variety of other treatment options including:
Vein treatments take approximately an hour or less to complete, and patients can return to their normal routine immediately with few restrictions. No staples or stitches are required because a simple band-aid covers the tiny incisions. Our in-office treatment requires only local anesthetics and recovery and symptom relief are fast, and there is little to no scarring.
