Headshot Rashad Mohamed Riazuddin

Rashad Riazuddin

MD

Dr. Rashad Riazuddin is a board-certified family physician with advanced fellowship training in venous and lymphatic medicine. After years treating patients in family and emergency medicine, he saw firsthand how often leg pain, swelling, and skin changes traced back to undiagnosed venous disease, which drew him to specialize in vein evaluation and minimally invasive treatment.

"I want the patients to feel that they are heard, that they understand their condition, and that we made the decision together."

More About Dr. Riazuddin

Dr. Riazuddin built a broad clinical foundation in family and emergency medicine, including roles as a primary care physician and medical director with a family medicine practice in Texas, and as an emergency physician across several hospitals in Texas and Oklahoma. Through that work, he repeatedly encountered patients whose leg pain, swelling, and skin changes had gone undiagnosed for years, an experience that drew him toward venous and lymphatic medicine.

He completed his advanced fellowship in venous and lymphatic medicine at Center for Vein Restoration in Grand Rapids, Michigan, training alongside physicians who had dedicated their careers to the specialty. He chose to remain with CVR for its depth of experience and its commitment to treating venous disease as a true medical specialty, offering patients comprehensive care from initial evaluation through treatment and follow-up.

"When that patient returns and tells me they are walking further, they're feeling less discomfort, or returning to an activity that they had stopped doing, that is incredible. That's very rewarding."

Outside the clinic, Dr. Riazuddin values time with his wife and three children, along with gardening, archery, and travel.

Dr. Riazuddin's Philosophy of Care

Listening First: Every patient arrives with a different story, different concerns, and different goals, and he wants to understand how their symptoms are affecting their life before discussing treatment.

Honest, Patient-First Evaluation: Drawing on his family and emergency medicine background, Dr. Riazuddin looks at the broader clinical picture and recommends treatment only when venous disease is truly the cause.

Clear Communication: He walks patients through their ultrasound findings and explains what their diagnosis means for their day-to-day life, not just its name.

Collaborative Care: Dr. Riazuddin partners closely with referring physicians so patients are listened to, treated with respect, and returned to their care with a clear plan.
