Sitting on the shores of Lake Erie, Ohio, welcomes visitors to its many sights, including Maumee Bay State Park. The park’s many attractions include a golf course, marshes, and scenic meadows. North of Maumee State Park is the Toledo Harbor Lighthouse. More than a century old, the four-story brick lighthouse is one of seventy lighthouses along Lake Erie that helped ships navigate the channels.

Dr. Rashad Riazuddin is a board-certified family physician specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of venous and lymphatic conditions. With a clinical background in both family and emergency medicine, he brings a broad perspective to vein care and understands how symptoms such as leg pain, swelling, heaviness, and skin changes can affect a patient’s comfort, mobility, and quality of life.

Dr. Riazuddin received advanced training in venous and lymphatic medicine, completed his family medicine residency at Choctaw Nation Family Medicine Residency, and earned his medical degree from Al Ameen Medical College in India. His areas of expertise include chronic venous insufficiency, varicose and spider veins, vascular ultrasound evaluation, and minimally invasive vein treatments. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Venous Forum, and American Vein & Lymphatic Society.

Known for his thoughtful, patient-first approach, Dr. Riazuddin takes time to listen, understand each patient’s concerns, and explain diagnostic findings in clear, practical terms. He develops individualized treatment plans designed to address the underlying cause of symptoms while helping patients return to the activities they enjoy. Deborah Cogan, MD, FACOG, FABVLM, is a vascular specialist with over twenty years of medical experience. She is double board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. She regularly ranks among the Best Doctors in the Chicagoland area.

Dr. Cogan earned her medical degree at the University of Iowa, Roy J., and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, Iowa City, Iowa. She completed her fellowship in Venous and Lymphatic Medicine at Midwest Vein Center, Downers Grove, Illinois, and her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology, at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Cogan spent the first eight years of her medical career practicing women’s health. During this time, she witnessed the connection between pregnancy and vascular disease and committed herself to helping people who suffer from the discomfort and disability of venous disorders in the lower extremities.

A devoted patient health advocate and educator, Dr. Cogan uses a “shared decision-making” model of care, working with her patients to make health care decisions.
