Center for Vein Restoration has four convenient locations in the state of Alabama for patients looking for relief from the pain and swelling of varicose veins. Our offices in Mobile and Fairhope serve residents in cities along the shores of Mobile Bay. Dothan is located in the southeastern part of the state. Opelika, located near the border with Columbus, Georgia, serves east-central Alabama.
Meet the Vein Doctors Who Serve Alabama
Centers for Vein Restoration’s Alabama offices are led by two knowledgeable vascular physicians and a world-class physician assistant. Each brings many years of experience in treating varicose veins and other venous disorders.
Michael L. Aikens, MD came to Center for Vein Restoration in 2018 after 26 years as a practicing cardiologist. After receiving his medical degree from Boston University and completing an internship and residency at Boston University Medical Center, Dr. Aikens moved to Alabama in 1995 to serve as a cardiology fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. There he earned the J. Claude Bennett Award for Excellence in Research. During his fellowship at the University of Alabama, Dr. Aikens investigated the role endothelial cells play in the development of chronic venous disease.
Mobile & Fairhope
Serving the cities of Mobile and Fairhope is Rodney Sirk, MD, RVT, RPhS. Dr. Sirk joined Center for Vein Restoration in 2019, and has focused on phlebology and the treatment of veins throughout his career. After a long and distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Sirk obtained his medical degree from Marshall University’s School of Medicine in Huntington in 1995 and completed a residency in family medicine at the same university. He is a member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society and a Diplomat of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.
Billy Littlefield, CRNP, joined the Center for Vein Restoration in 2015. Well-known in the Dothan community, he holds a master of science degree in nursing from Auburn University, where he graduated with honors in 2012. As a certified family nurse practitioner, Littlefield specializes in varicose veins, ultrasound-guided procedures, interventional radiology, and venous and lymphatic medicine.
