Center for Restoration’s locations in and around Chicago offer visitors a wide array of sights and attractions. There’s the famed Magnificent Mile retail, restaurant, and entertainment district along N. Michigan Avenue in the city, the McCormick Place Convention Center, and the Navy Pier arts and recreation center. Wood Dale is home to the Salt Creek Park Forest Preserve, a 98-acre conservation reserve with fishing and hiking trails.
Dominic J. Tolitano, MD, received his medical training at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science. He served a fellowship in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at Loyola University Medical Center as well as a residency in general surgery at Michael Reese Hospital. For his work as Chief Resident and Chief Fellow at both medical institutions, Dr. Tolitano was awarded certification in cardiovascular and thoracic medicine.
A nationally recognized cardiovascular surgeon, Dr. Dominic J. Tolitano joined Center for Vein Restoration in 2018. Dr. Tolitano, a Chicago native, currently serves as Senior Thoracic and Vascular Surgeon at Franciscan Physicians Hospital and Senior Vascular Surgeon at Mercy Hospital in Munster, Indiana.
Barbara Terpstra, MD, earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma and completed her residency in OB/GYN at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. She is board-certified in OB/GYN and phlebology, which gives her a unique perspective on vein disease and women’s health.
Dr. Terpstra joined Center for Vein Restoration in 2020 after many years serving as Medical Director of the Orland Park location of the Midwest Vein Center. She is a member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society (formerly known as the American College of Phlebology) and completed her Phlebology Fellowship through the Midwest Vein Center Training Institute. She is also a member of the American Medical Association and the Illinois State Medical Society.
