About Center for Vein Restoration in Chicago, Illinois
Center for Vein Restoration in Chicago offers city residents state-of-the-art treatments for varicose veins, spider veins, and other vascular disorders. We believe no patient should experience the discomfort and unsightly appearance of varicose veins when so many proven therapies are available to eliminate protruding, painful veins are available.
Treatments include sclerotherapy, a safe and effective method to eliminate varicose veins by injecting a solution into the malfunctioning vein to collapse it. Other minimally-invasive therapies include endovenous laser ablation and radiofrequency ablation, which use thermal heat to close up the diseased vein. For larger varicose veins, ambulatory phlebectomy is a great choice. In this procedure, the varicose vein is removed through a small incision. But we also offer newer innovations, such as VenaSeal and ClariVein. VenaSeal closes the vein by sealing together the vein walls with a medical adhesive. Known as a mechanochemical ablation device, ClariVein introduces a solution to irritate the vein before a small rotating wire tip destroys the vein. Each of these procedures is minimally invasive and is done on an outpatient basis.
At Center for Vein Restoration in Chicago, we treat every patient individually, customizing a treatment plan based on their needs and comfort level. Our vein specialists are experts in the field of vascular surgery. With years of training, our doctors are also frequent contributors to medical publications on vascular issues. And to ensure your safety, our clinics have been approved by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission for vascular clinics

Meet Dr. Tolitano
Dr. Dominic J. Tolitano, MD, leads the Chicago office, bringing nearly three decades of experience as a board-certified cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon. A native of Chicago, Dr. Tolitano received his medical training at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science. He completed his residency at Michael Reese Hospital. He then went on to complete his fellowship in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center. At both institutions, Dr. Tolitano served as chief resident and chief fellow.
With his background in vascular surgery, Dr. Tolitano pioneered the adoption of non-invasive techniques to treat chronic venous disease. He has performed thousands of endovenous laser ablations. “I have been in a fortunate position to watch this exciting field of medicine evolve over the past decade,” Dr. Tolitano says.
Dr. Tolitano joined CVR in 2018, which he says “is on the cutting edge of our field.” In addition to his duties at CVR, Dr. Tolitano serves as the Senior Thoracic and Vascular Surgeon at Franciscan Physicians Hospital in Munster, Indiana.
