Blog Welcome Inovia Vein

A landmark partnership. Eight exceptional physicians. Six locations. One shared mission.

Inovia Vein Specialty Centers has joined Center for Vein Restoration (CVR), the nation’s largest physician-led vein practice. For patients across Oregon and Southwest Washington, this partnership means one thing above all: the exceptional healthcare Inovia has delivered for years is now backed by the resources, technology, and national expertise of the country’s leading vein care organization.

This is not simply a business announcement. It is a milestone in CVR’s history, the organization’s first entry into the Pacific Northwest, as well as a reflection of what Inovia has built over many years: a practice so trusted, so clinically rigorous, and so deeply rooted in its community that it became exactly the kind of partner CVR had been looking for.

A New Chapter for Vein Care in the Pacific Northwest

With more than 120 locations nationwide, CVR has spent nearly two decades expanding access to world-class vein care: one community at a time. That expansion now reaches the Pacific Northwest for the very first time.

Notably, Center for Vein Restoration did not come to the Pacific Northwest to introduce vein care. It came to join a team that was already delivering it exceptionally well. That distinction matters. Inovia was not acquired. It was chosen — because of the caliber of its physicians, the depth of its patient relationships, and a shared philosophy that puts patients first at every step.

“Inovia has spent years earning the trust of patients, one at a time, across the Pacific Northwest. What drew us to this partnership was not only their clinical reputation but also the way they practice — the emphasis on patient education, thorough care, and a genuine commitment to getting it right for every patient, every time. We are honored they chose CVR, and we intend to be worthy of that choice.”

Same Physicians. Same Locations. Stronger Care.

For patients, everything that matters most about your Inovia experience is unchanged. Your physicians, your care team, and your clinic locations remain exactly as they are. Six locations across Oregon and Southwest Washington — Portland, Beaverton, Happy Valley, Hillsboro, Tigard, and Bend — continue to serve the communities that have trusted Inovia for years.

What has changed is what now stands behind that care. As part of CVR, Inovia patients gain access to:

  • Advanced diagnostics and treatment technology backed by one of the most experienced vein networks in the country
  • A care network of 120+ locations nationwide, should you ever need treatment while away from home
  • Enhanced coordination and support systems that make every aspect of your patient experience more seamless

Inovia has always been built around one idea: that patients deserve world-class vein care in a setting that is convenient, accessible, and centered entirely on them. Joining CVR means we can deliver on that promise at a scale we could not have reached on our own.
For our patients, the care they know and trust is not changing. What is changing is the depth of expertise, resources, and national reach that now stands behind it.

Meet the Physicians Behind Your Care

Inovia was founded by Edward M. Boyle, MD, and Andrew D. Jones, MD, FACS, two of the most accomplished vein specialists in the Pacific Northwest, whose careers reflect the same dedication to clinical excellence and patient-centered care that defines CVR. Together with their team, they have built a practice that patients trust and referring physicians rely on.

The Inovia physician team now includes eight board-certified specialists whose combined expertise spans venous disease, vascular surgery, cardiac surgery, trauma, phlebology, and emergency medicine:

  • Edward M. Boyle, MD:  Founder and Director, board-certified surgeon, author of more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, and holder of 20+ U.S. and international patents
  • Andrew D. Jones, MD, FACS: Co-founder, Diplomat of the American Board of Phlebology, and principal investigator in the landmark VeClose and Vanish-1 clinical trials
  • Jason C. Gilster, MD, FACS: Medical Director, Bridgeport Village, with more than two decades of dedicated vein care in the Portland area
  • Lauren Wikholm, MD: Board-certified surgeon with a background in general surgery, trauma, and breast surgery, and 2026 American Venous Forum presenter
  • Todd C. Jones, MD: NYU Langone fellowship-trained phlebologist and published researcher in venous disease
  • Toshio Nagamoto, MD, FACS: Board-certified surgeon with 35+ years of experience and specialized expertise in venous wound care, lymphedema, and lipedema
  • Ralph E. Delius, MD, FACSDual board-certified cardiac and thoracic surgeon with 30+ years of surgical experience and 80+ peer-reviewed publications
  • Cody Laverdiere, DO: Board-certified emergency medicine physician bringing diagnostic precision to the minimally invasive treatment of venous disease

Behind every physician is a clinical team that patients rely on equally. Inovia’s physician associates and nurse practitioners bring the same commitment to patient-centered care, education, and compassionate treatment that has defined this practice since its founding.

“Being part of CVR means our patients have access to a broader network, more advanced resources, and the confidence that comes from being treated by a nationally recognized team. The physicians and staff they know are staying. The standard of care is staying. What CVR adds is everything that makes us stronger.”

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Will my doctor or care team change as a result of this partnership?
No — your physicians, physician associates, nurse practitioners, and clinic locations remain exactly as they are. The partnership with Center for Vein Restoration adds resources and expanded capabilities behind the scenes, but the people who have been caring for you are staying right where they are.

2. What does Center for Vein Restoration bring to my care that Inovia didn't have before?
As part of CVR's network of more than 120 locations nationwide, Inovia patients now have access to advanced diagnostics, cutting-edge treatment technology, and enhanced care coordination backed by the nation's most experienced physician-led vein practice. If you ever need vein care while traveling, CVR's national footprint means expert treatment is available far beyond the Pacific Northwest.

3. Does this mean my insurance or billing will change?
Any changes to billing or insurance processing will be communicated directly to patients before they take effect. If you have specific questions about your coverage or how this transition affects your account, we encourage you to contact your clinic directly.

4. I have been putting off vein treatment for a while. Is it too late to be seen?
It is never too late to seek an evaluation, and our physicians welcome patients at any stage, including those who are not yet ready to commit to treatment. Vein disease is a chronic, progressive condition, which means treating it sooner is almost always easier than waiting, but the most important first step is simply getting more information.
