Meet the Doctors Who Serve Indiana
A native of Northwest Indiana, Luis Barajas, MD, RPhS, DABVLM, completed his medical degree at Indiana University in Indianapolis and his residency in family practice at Methodist Hospital in Gary/Merrillville. After receiving additional training in vein disease in 2007, Dr. Barajas cared for patients at the Decatur Vein Clinic in Indianapolis and subsequently partnered with St. Medical Center in Hobart to oversee vein care services. Dr. Barajas received board certification in venous medicine by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine in 2009.
Mike Sebastian, MD graduated from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in Metro Manila, Philippines. Following a residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Dr. Sebastian was board-certified through the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Sebastian began concentrating on vein disease in 2007, after seeing so many of his patients suffer from symptomatic varicose veins during his residency. From that experience, he realized how venous insufficiency can impact patients’ quality of life and overall well-being. He is an active member of both the American Vein and Lymphatic Society and the American Academy of Family Practice (AAFP).
Dominic J. Tolitano, MD is a nationally recognized cardiovascular surgeon. After graduating from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science, he served a fellowship in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at Loyola University Medical Center as well as a residency in general surgery at Michael Reese Hospital. Dr. Tolitano joined the Center for Vein Restoration in 2018 and currently serves as Senior Thoracic and Vascular Surgeon at Franciscan Physicians Hospital in Munster. Dr. Tolitano is a pioneer in advanced non-invasive techniques to treat chronic venous disease and has performed thousands of endovenous laser ablations.
Why Center for Vein Restoration Loves Indiana
The state’s best known attraction is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In addition to its racing events, the Speedway is home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. But the state is home to other sights for non-racing enthusiasts, as well: stretching along 25 miles on the southern shore of Lake Michigan sits the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Wolf Park, a sanctuary for the care and study of wolves, is open for visitors in Battle Ground.
