After practicing as a private practice physician and hospitalist, Dr. Batchev turned his focus to the diagnosis and treatment of venous and lymphatic disease. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, and Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.

As a Doctor of Osteopathy, Dr. Batchev prides himself on bringing a holistic approach to patients presenting with lower extremity edema and leg discomfort.

Dr. Batchev began his career as a hospitalist and OB-GYN. He was recognized as a Top Doctor in OB-GYN. He is now dedicated exclusively to treating venous and lymphatic disorders, including varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, venous leg ulcers, and other conditions of the venous and lymphatic systems.

In addition to his professional and academic accomplishments, Dr. Batchev is training in wellness coaching. He believes that “this broad background enables me to address patient concerns from a broad perspective and thus enhance the patient care experience.” Dr. Batchev’s philosophy of care is to educate the patient thoroughly about their vein condition, review all recommended treatment options, and then arrive at a treatment plan using shared decision making.
